Dr.
Hofmeister has lived in the Chicago area all his life. He received his
Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology in 1976 from the University
of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Following graduation he studied and traveled
in Europe, and worked for a period of time back home in the states.
He entered the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry
in August of 1978, graduating as a D.D.S. in the spring of 1982. That
fall he entered the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant in the Dental Corps, serving
four years prior to settling in at his Bartlett dental practice in late
1986. He actively pursues continuing education in the field and is a
member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the Chicago
Dental Society and the Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Hofmeister is married with three children: two daughters
ages 23 and 17, and a 20 year old son. His eldest daughter is currently
a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry,
and hopes to join her dad's practice upon graduation
Dr. Hofmeister has a variety of interests including music,
travel, foreign languages Tae Kwon Do and bicycling.
